Commercial Electric Vehicles

What if you could skip the hardest part of building an electric commercial vehicle? The Olympus EV Platform is a rolling, drivable chassis. Battery, motor, suspension, steering—done. You just add the body. Food trucks. Delivery vans. Mobile service vehicles. Whatever your business needs.

Electric commercial vehicle built on Olympus Platform

Small businesses get squeezed on commercial vehicles. Buy a gas truck and face rising fuel costs, maintenance headaches, and emission regulations. Buy an electric van from the big manufacturers and you're looking at $80K minimum with a two-year wait. The Olympus Platform sits in the middle—a proven electric chassis you can build on immediately.

Why Build with Olympus EV Platform

Fully Electric. Zero tailpipe emissions. Zero fuel stops. Minimal maintenance compared to combustion engines.

Flexible Platform Configuration. Tailor the chassis to your commercial application. Wheelbase ranges from 105 to 153 inches. Width options from 69 to 78 inches. Configure and order directly from the Olympus Kit page.

Drive-Ready Delivery. The platform arrives as a complete, drivable vehicle. No flatbed transport required. Top speed capability of 121 mph (configurable for your safety requirements).

Cost-Effective and Fast. Skip the years of R&D and millions in development costs. Our base platform starts at $27,500. Mount your commercial body on a production-ready, automotive-grade chassis. Available for L4 autonomous integration.

No Minimum Orders. Purchase a single platform for your startup food truck or scale to a full delivery fleet. Same proven architecture from prototype to production volume. We partner with you as you grow.

Developer-Friendly Integration. Complete technical documentation included: CAD design files, electrical schematics, pin diagrams, T-Box telematics access, ECU integration, SDK, BLE module, and CAN bus communication protocols.

Autonomous-Ready Architecture. Steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems come standard. Purpose-built for autonomous vehicle development. Olympian partnering with NVIDIA/Alpayamo to deliver L4 autonomy by 2027.

End-to-End Support. Our engineering team assists with concept development, design, prototyping, production, and final assembly. Working with builders across the United States and Canada on commercial electric vehicle projects.

The Economics of Commercials EVs

The math on commercial electric vehicles is straightforward. A gas van burning $4/gallon fuel at 15 mpg costs about $0.27 per mile in fuel alone. Add oil changes, transmission service, brake work, and you're looking at $0.35-0.40 per mile in operating costs.

The Olympus Platform runs on electricity at roughly $0.04 per mile. Electric motors don't need oil changes. Regenerative braking means brake pads last 3x longer. Total operating cost drops to around $0.06-0.08 per mile.

On a vehicle running 20,000 miles per year, that's $6,000-7,000 in annual savings. Over five years, the operating cost difference often exceeds the higher purchase price of the electric platform.

Warranty

Every Olympus EV Platform includes a 3-year or 100,000-mile warranty covering the drivetrain, battery system, and vehicle controls.

Coverage includes: battery pack and battery management system, drive motor and inverter, vehicle control unit and telematics, steering and suspension components, and charging system including onboard charger and DC inlet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What about the body? Do you build that too?

We sell the rolling chassis. You add the body. Our engineering team can recommend upfitters or help with custom body design, or you can work with your own fabricator. We provide CAD files and mounting specifications.

How long does a full build take from platform to finished vehicle?

Platform delivery takes 6-12 weeks. Body fabrication and installation varies by complexity—a simple box body might take 4-6 weeks, a full food truck buildout could be 3-4 months.

What happens if I need service or warranty work?

We handle warranty service directly from our California facility. For routine maintenance, any EV-certified shop can work on the platform. We provide technical documentation and support to your local service provider.

Can I power equipment from the vehicle battery?

Yes. The 400V system can supply auxiliary equipment. For food trucks, this means running cooking equipment directly from the main battery. For service vehicles, you can power tools and compressors. We provide integration support for high-power accessories.

What's the realistic range with a heavy commercial body?

Expect 100-150 miles with a full food truck or box body at maximum payload. For lighter service vehicle configurations, 150-200 miles is realistic. DC fast charging gets you from 30% to 80% in under 30 minutes if you need to extend your day.

Do you offer fleet discounts?

Yes. Volume pricing is available for orders of 5+ platforms. Contact us directly for fleet quotes. We also offer technical partnership programs for manufacturers building multiple units.

DC fast charging specs?

CCS2 connector. 30% to 80% in under 30 minutes.

What's the warranty coverage?

3-year or 100,000-mile warranty covering the drivetrain, battery system, and vehicle controls. Service handled directly from our California facility.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Single unit orders accepted.

Where is the platform built?

Designed and assembled in Irvine, California.

Can I see one in person before ordering?

Yes. Schedule a test drive at our Irvine, California facility. You can drive the platform, inspect the chassis, and discuss your specific application with our engineering team.
